Honor is gearing up to unveil its latest smartwatch model, the Honor Watch X5, in conjunction with the launch of the Honor 500 smartphone lineup in China. The watch boasts a substantial AMOLED display measuring 1.97 inches, featuring rounded corners and an ultra-thin border of just 1.8 mm, resulting in an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 82%. This display supports an always-on mode and offers users the ability to customize their watch faces through the Honor Health app.
Constructed from aluminum alloy, the Watch X5 is both lightweight at 29 grams and sleek with a thickness of 9.99 mm. The device includes a stainless-steel rotating crown for tactile navigation alongside quick-release silicone straps for easy personalization. With dimensions of 45.68 × 40.2 mm, it’s designed to be comfortable enough for daily wear.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the watch’s upgraded barometer and compass features, along with independent GPS support that covers five satellite systems: BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. These capabilities enhance route tracking and environmental monitoring during activities such as hiking. Furthermore, it has a water resistance rating of 5 ATM and an IP68 seal for use in wet conditions or underwater.
The Watch X5 comes packed with health and fitness features, including continuous heart rate and blood oxygen level monitoring, sleep analysis, women’s health tracking, and over 120 sports modes. A unique feature is the AI-based weight-loss program developed in collaboration with domestic universities that provides tailored guidance and progress evaluation.
In addition to its core functions, the watch supports two-way Bluetooth calls, NFC payments, camera control, music playback management, an SOS button for emergencies, a Do Not Disturb mode, and several built-in mini-games. Its battery life is estimated at 14 days under normal usage or five days with always-on display enabled.
The Honor Watch X5 will go on sale in China ahead of its official launch event scheduled for November 24, 2025. It’s available for CNY 449 (approximately $63).
