Huawei Launches MatePad Edge with OLED Display and Kirin X90 Processor

Huawei has introduced its latest addition to the tablet lineup: the Huawei MatePad Edge. This device is designed for high productivity and creative users, featuring a large 14.2-inch OLED display that offers an impressive resolution of 3120 x 2080 with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen-to-body ratio stands at 94%, thanks to its slim bezels measuring just 4.1mm.

Powering the MatePad Edge is the Kirin X90 or X90A processor, which promises a significant 3.8x performance boost compared to the predecessor model from 2023. The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 5.1 and supports dual-mode operation for seamless transitions between tablet and desktop modes with features like four-finger gestures and control center switching.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide macro lens, while the front-facing 32MP ultra-wide camera is ideal for video conferencing. The MatePad Edge boasts advanced cooling technology that includes dual aluminum fans and VC heat dissipation modules, along with nearly 4000 drilled vents to ensure maximum thermal performance.

Priced at 5999 yuan for the Wi-Fi version (16GB + 256GB), the Huawei MatePad Edge offers various storage options and is available in Deep Space Gray and Moonlight Silver. The tablet also supports 140W SuperCharge, providing fast charging capabilities.
