Huawei Unveils Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro Smartphones Officially!

Huawei has officially launched its long-awaited flagship smartphones, the Huawei Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro. Both devices are visually similar due to shared components like the screen and battery.

The new phones feature a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The display supports up to 1440Hz PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and offers full P3 color gamut coverage at 1,07 million colors.

Both models include the second-generation Kunlun Glass for protection and come equipped with a face scanner on the front using ToF technology and an in-position fingerprint scanner. The devices also support satellite communication.

The Mate 80 Pro is powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset, while the standard Mate 80 uses the Kirin 9020. Huawei claims that the Kirin 9030 offers a 35% performance boost over the Kirin 9020 and the latter is 35% faster than its predecessor, Kirin 9010.

Both models feature triple rear cameras with auto-focus lenses. The standard Mate 80 includes a 50MP wide-angle camera with RYYB sensor while the Pro model has an improved telephoto lens setup offering up to 4x optical zoom and 92.5mm focal length.

Both devices come with a 5,750mAh battery and fast charging options: Mate 80 supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the Pro variant offers faster 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. RAM configurations start at 12GB for both devices.
