Honor 500 Series Brings Strong Tech to Mid-Range Segment

Honor is gearing up for the release of its new smartphone line, and details about both models have already surfaced prior to the official launch. The Honor 500 and its Pro variant cater to users who value high-end specifications without crossing into the premium price bracket. Both devices feature modern displays, powerful cameras, and large batteries to deliver an attractive overall package.

The base model comes with a 6.55-inch OLED panel utilizing LTPS technology. The resolution is set at 1264 × 2736 pixels alongside a refresh rate of 120 Hz. PWM dimming at 3840 Hz ensures flicker-free scrolling. Inside, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip powers the device for efficient performance and seamless multitasking. The main camera boasts 200 megapixels with a sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches in size. It’s complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide module and a front-facing camera of 50 megapixels. An 8000 mAh battery provides the power, supporting fast charging up to 80 watts. The housing is made of metal and meets several water and dust protection standards. Stereo speakers enhance sound quality, while IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications confirm the device’s robustness.

The Pro version opts for a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and enhances camera capabilities with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens featuring a Sony IMX856 sensor. Optical zoom reaches up to three times. Wireless charging is supported at speeds of up to 50 watts. An under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor ensures quick and secure unlocking. The display size, battery capacity, and protection class remain consistent with the standard model.
