Honor has been making waves in China by launching high-end smartphones regularly. October saw the introduction of Honor Magic 8 and its Pro variant, both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. In November, the company released the Honor 500 and 500 Pro with Snapdragon 8-series chips. This month, Honor is gearing up to introduce the performance-oriented GT 2 series.
Recently, two new models believed to be part of the GT 2 lineup have obtained approval from China’s 3C certification authority. The certified devices, identified by model numbers AAK-AN00 and AAP-AN00, are confirmed to support 100W wired fast charging.
The upcoming GT 2 series is expected to come with a flat 6.83-inch display featuring a 1.5K resolution, along with a metal frame for durability. The series will likely include a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a large sensor and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the devices might carry either IP68 or IP69 ratings for water resistance.
The standard model of the Honor GT 2 series is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, while the Pro version may sport the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Both devices are rumored to have around a 9,000mAh battery capacity with support for 100W charging.
In addition to the GT 2 series, Honor has hinted at several upcoming releases in early 2026. These include the Honor Power 2 with a massive 10,000mAh battery and models like the Honor Magic 8 RSR and Magic 8 Mini.
