Honor has announced the Magic 8 RSR for 2026, packing a whopping 24 GB of RAM along with significant camera improvements. The device aims to showcase where premium smartphones are headed in terms of performance, AI processing, and modern photography technology.
The Magic 8 RSR features an advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor that can clock up to 4.6 GHz, paired with a generous 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM for smooth multitasking and gaming experiences without compromising on camera quality or AI functionality.
Honor has also equipped the phone with an OmniVision OV50R sensor boasting 50 megapixels. Thanks to LOFIC technology, this camera can capture scenes with extreme light contrasts while avoiding overexposure in bright areas and underexposure in dark regions.
The device includes a large 7,200 mAh battery on a silicon-carbon base for fast charging at up to 120 watts. It’s also waterproof with ratings of IP68, IP69 and IP69K, which means it can even withstand high-pressure cleaning.
The phone comes with a 6.71-inch LTPO display featuring 1.5K resolution for sharp visuals. The screen supports facial recognition and has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the glass.
Honor plans to unveil this new model globally at the end of January 2026, offering Slate Ash Black and Moonstone Gray options with the signature Porsche Flyline design on the back.
