Honor has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Honor Watch X5, in China as part of their new 500 series lineup. This sleek device combines a lightweight aluminum case with extensive fitness and health features, promising up to two weeks of battery life on a single charge.
The Honor Watch X5 sports a compact 1.97-inch AMOLED display featuring 390×450 pixel resolution, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and slightly curved glass for better viewing angles. The screen covers more than 80% of the front face, ensuring quick responsiveness to gestures via Raise-to-Wake or Always-On functionality.
The watch’s aluminum housing measures just under 10mm in thickness and weighs only 29 grams, making it exceptionally comfortable to wear for extended periods. It features a multifunctional button that can be pressed or rotated for easy navigation. The silicone bands are interchangeable without the need for tools and come in Moonlight White and Phantom Black.
The Honor Watch X5 caters to fitness enthusiasts with 120 exercise modes, including cycling, swimming, running, and strength training. An integrated AI coach offers personalized programs focusing on fat burning, providing tailored workout and nutrition advice. The device supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo for precise tracking of distances traveled.
Additional features include a barometer and compass for outdoor navigation, voice feedback during workouts, and stretching instructions post-exercise. Health monitoring is covered by sensors measuring heart rate, sleep quality, stress levels, blood pressure, and female health metrics. A One-Touch Check provides an instant overall body assessment.
For everyday use, the smartwatch offers Bluetooth call support, NFC payments for transit cards, a Pomodoro timer, SOS function, camera control, music playback, and mini-apps to enhance usability. Certified with 5ATM and IP68 ratings, it is water-resistant up to 50 meters and dust-proof.
The battery can last up to two weeks during regular use or about five days when Always-On mode is enabled. Charging occurs via a magnetic dock included in the package. The suggested retail price is 449 Yuan, approximately €63.
