Huawei Bridges Ecosystem
Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 6 introduces a significant feature enabling direct file transfers between Huawei devices and Apple’s iOS, iPadOS, and macOS systems, effectively breaking down previous compatibility barriers. This functionality represents a major step forward in cross-platform connectivity.
Previously, Honor introduced a similar feature called “AI Connect” within MagicOS 9. Huawei’s implementation requires a dedicated application to be distributed through the Apple App Store to facilitate the transfer process.
HarmonyOS 6 leverages a new architecture dubbed “Galaxy interconnection,” enhancing device connection stability and boosting transfer speeds up to 160MB/s. This new architecture also promises a greater than 20% reduction in latency and power consumption.
Beyond file sharing, Nubia has unveiled the Nubia Z80 Ultra, a flagship smartphone boasting a range of high-end specifications.
Security remains a priority for Huawei; HarmonyOS 6 introduces end-to-end encrypted sharing capabilities. Users can now utilize a “view once” mode to prevent media duplication and restrict screenshotting or recording of sensitive content.
