A liquid-cooled protective case designed to enhance cooling efficiency and performance of the Huawei Mate 80 series.
Chinese tech giant Huawei has developed a liquid-cooled case specifically for its recently unveiled Mate 80 series. The new lineup includes the standard Mate 80, the Pro version, and the Max variant. Huawei added an innovative feature to this protective cover: a liquid cooling system.
The company’s latest addition is equipped with micro-pumps that circulate fluid within the casing without wires or cables connected directly to the phone. The system’s pump operation adjusts automatically based on the device temperature, enhancing the efficiency of heat dissipation. This special case will be available in China for $42.
The Mate 80 series features dual-ring rear designs and is powered by Kirin chips: the standard model uses the Kirin 9020, while Pro variants are equipped with the Kirin 9030 Pro. The top-of-the-line Mate 80 Pro Max boasts a display that peaks at an incredible 8,000 nits of brightness and supports 120Hz refresh rate on its dual-layer OLED screen.
The camera setup includes a main 50MP RYYB sensor capable of switching between f/1.4 to f/4.0 apertures, an ultrawide angle lens with another 50MP sensor for macro photography, and a periscope telephoto unit that offers up to 6.2x optical zoom or up to 12.4x in hybrid mode.
