Huawei has announced the start of its recruitment for the Huawei FreeClip 2 headphones as starflash experience officers, with the application period running from December 29, 2025 to January 29, 2026. Click here to apply.

Requirements for Participation

The recruitment is open to users who own a Huawei FreeClip 2 and use it with devices such as the Mate 80 series or Mate X7 series, nova 15 Pro, and nova 15 Ultra. Users demanding high-quality connection experiences will be prioritized.

Participants must also agree to update their software versions for daily testing and feedback on product experience improvement to Huawei staff, complete a recruitment survey, and submit it within the specified time frame.

About the FreeClip 2 Headphones

The Huawei FreeClip 2 earclip headphones went on sale on October 20, priced at RMB1299 with an introductory price of RMB1249. They support starflash audio technology, come equipped with an NPU AI processor and are available in three color options.

Huawei previously mentioned that the FreeClip 2 would receive a starflash audio OTA update by year-end 2025. Additionally, the device has passed the starflash certification test suite, including SLE radio frequency consistency tests, basic service layer protocol consistency tests, and audio protocol consistency tests.

The Huawei FreeClip 2 earclip headphones are now through the starflash certification process, setting up for an anticipated OTA upgrade of the starflash audio feature in the near future.
