Huawei Launches Gold Collector’s Edition MatePad Pro 12.2 (2025) and MatePad Mini in China

Huawei has announced the availability of the Gold Collector’s Edition of the MatePad Pro 12.2 (2025) and the MatePad Mini Collector’s Edition, beginning sales in China today, November 16, 2024.

The MatePad Pro 12.2 (2025) Gold Collector’s Edition is available in a single configuration: 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The device is priced at 7,799 yuan (approximately $1,095 USD) and features a PaperMatte display variant with Wi-Fi support. It includes a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED screen with a 2800 x 1840 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and HDR Vivid certification. The tablet incorporates a 50MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. Notable features include Wi-Fi 7 support and a 10,100mAh battery, capable of reaching 85% charge in 40 minutes. The device also features a one-step unlocking feature and supports stylus, mouse, and keyboard accessories.

Alongside the Pro model, the MatePad Mini Collector’s Edition is available in two configurations: 16GB/512GB at 5,999 yuan (~$845) and 16GB/1TB at 6,499 yuan (~$915). Both Mini models are offered in Universal Red with a PaperMatte display and support network and Wi-Fi connectivity. The MatePad Mini features a flexible OLED full-screen display with a 2.99mm ultra-narrow bezel and a 16:10 aspect ratio, peaking at 1,800 nits. A PaperMatte Edition reduces 99% of ambient light interference. The device includes a 32MP front-facing camera and a 6,400mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge support.
