The new Huawei Mate 80 series featuring top-tier hardware and innovative designs.
Huawei recently unveiled its latest addition to the smartphone lineup, the Huawei Mate 80 series, in China on November 25, 2025. The standout feature of this release is the unprecedented peak brightness of up to 8000 nits on the Pro Max model.
The standard Mate 80 comes with a large 6.75-inch flat OLED screen, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR Vivid live streaming. It’s equipped with second-generation Kunlun Glass for added durability, alongside a powerful Kirin 9030 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The triple camera setup includes a main sensor of 50MP, an ultra-wide lens of 40MP, and a telephoto lens of 12MP. The front features a 13MP selfie camera, providing clear selfies and video calls. Additionally, the Mate 80 packs a substantial 5000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities reaching up to 66W over cable or 50W via wireless charging.
The top-tier model, the Mate 80 Pro Max, ups the ante with its massive dual-layer OLED display measuring 6.9 inches and a staggering peak brightness of 8000 nits. This powerhouse is fueled by up to 16GB RAM and can store up to 1TB, making it ideal for users who need plenty of storage.
What sets the Pro Max apart is its dual telephoto cameras setup: one main sensor with a periscope lens at 90mm equivalent focal length and another at 140mm. This combination offers incredible long-range zoom capabilities without sacrificing image quality, thanks to advanced optics technology.
The battery in this model is slightly larger at 6000mAh and supports the latest fast charging tech with 100W wired charging.
