The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2025) is a remarkable Android tablet that delivers an excellent user experience, but it faces hurdles due to software constraints. As someone who has used tablets extensively for years, I understand the importance of a device being both powerful and versatile.
HUAWEI positions the £599 (~$783) MatePad 12 X (2025) as an ideal tool for freelancers, creatives, and students. Its design is aesthetically pleasing with rounded edges that make it comfortable to hold despite its thickness of 6mm and weight of 555g.
The standout feature of the MatePad 12 X (2025) is undoubtedly its display. Boasting a matte finish, this 12-inch screen has an impressive resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels and supports a refresh rate of 144Hz. The anti-reflective coating significantly enhances readability in bright environments without compromising on brightness levels. However, the matte surface does highlight fingerprints more prominently.
Despite its hardware excellence, the software limitations pose significant challenges. Nevertheless, HUAWEI’s MatePad 12 X (2025) remains a compelling option for those seeking a high-quality Android tablet that balances form and functionality.
