Local technicians and engineers will be employed in the construction and maintenance phases of the project, in order to create jobs for the people of Zimbabwe.

China and Zimbabwe have a longstanding relationship in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, and Chinese firms such as Huawei and ZTE have provided equipment to Zimbabwe’s network providers in the past decades.
