Renders of the upcoming Huawei Pura 90 series showcasing its professional-grade camera features.
Huawei is set to unveil the Pura 90 series in April 2026 with camera features that could shake up the professional photography world. Leaks suggest the company will use top-tier hardware for these devices.
According to leaks, one of the standout features is a new 1-inch main sensor developed by OmniVision or SmartSense. This sensor is expected to perform exceptionally well in low-light conditions, offering clear shots regardless of lighting.
The Pura 90 series will also feature two periscope lenses on its back. One telephoto lens is rumored to have a resolution of up to 200 megapixels and the other at 50 megapixels, both equipped with large sensors measuring 1/1.28 inches. These specs could significantly enhance zoom capabilities and reduce image degradation during magnification.
The lineup for Pura 90 series is expected to include four models: Huawei Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, Pura 90 Pro+, and Pura 90 Ultra. Each model may feature these advanced camera setups aimed at providing premium photography experiences.
While the series promises top-notch cameras and technical features, it will still lack Google services due to ongoing US sanctions against Huawei. This absence could overshadow some of its strengths in user experience.
The main highlight is a new 1-inch sensor that promises better low-light photography. Additionally, there are two high-resolution periscope lenses which improve zoom quality.
Four models: Huawei Pura 90, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra are expected to be included in this series.
No, due to US sanctions against Huawei, the devices will not have access to Google apps and services.
