The next generation of Pura series, featuring a unique wide folding design and top-notch imaging system.
Huawei may be pushing back the release of its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Pura X2. According to a recent leak by Fixed Focus Digital, the new device is now expected to launch later than initially planned compared to the standard schedule followed by previous models.
The Pura 90 series is still on track for late Q1 or Q2 of 2026. However, the Pura X2 is set to come out after this series, likely in the second half of 2026.
For context, the first generation of Pura X launched in March 2025, showcasing a unique wide folding design that transforms into a large-screen tablet-like device when unfolded. The new Pura X2 will continue this distinctive form factor and feature an advanced Kirin 9030 chipset.
The Pura X2 is expected to come with an upgraded quad-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 1.5-megapixel multispectral channel camera.
With its impressive specs, the Pura X2 is shaping up to be quite the successor to the original Pura X. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launch time!
The exact reason for the delay isn’t specified, but it’s common for manufacturers to adjust timelines based on development progress and market conditions.
