Huawei Pura X2 Unveiled with Kirin 9030 Chipset

The upcoming Huawei Pura X2 is making waves in the foldable smartphone market. According to recent leaks, the new device will feature an impressive Kirin 9030 chipset and continue to break traditional form factor norms.

Introduced by Huawei this March, the Pura X was a unique addition with its distinct aspect ratio of 16:10 when unfolded, setting it apart from conventional ‘Flip’ style foldables. The success of the Pura X has apparently motivated Huawei to develop its successor, the Pura X2.

Leaked information suggests that the Pura X2 is set for release in early 2024 (January to March), coinciding with a shift from Kirin 9020 to the more advanced Kirin 9030 chipset. This transition appears logical given the previous model’s performance.

As Huawei prepares to enter this competitive space, it is expected that further specifications and details of the Pura X2 will be revealed in due course. The company’s move towards a more innovative form factor also positions the Pura X2 as a potential rival to Samsung’s Z Fold series, adding another layer of competition in the foldable smartphone market.
