Huawei Pura X2 with Kirin 9030 Chip May Launch in Early 2026

Huawei recently unveiled its unique Huawei Pura X smartphone featuring a wide-screen vertical folding design. Industry insiders suggest that the company is gearing up to release a successor, known as the Huawei Pura X2.

According to reports from tech enthusiast Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the new device is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1), between January and March. The upcoming phone will reportedly be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chipset, which was introduced earlier this year with the Huawei Mate 80 Pro series.

The internal screen of the Pura X2 is expected to be significantly larger compared to its predecessor, continuing the trend towards a more tablet-like experience for users. The original model featured a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a unique 16:10 aspect ratio and a 3.5-inch external screen.

Speculation also suggests that the Pura X2 will maintain or enhance its current camera setup, featuring a triple rear camera system including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3.5x optical zoom.

The Pura X2 is anticipated to be powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset, marking a notable upgrade from its predecessor’s Kirin 9020. The device will likely retain or improve upon the original’s impressive battery capacity and charging capabilities, including support for both wired (66W) and wireless (40W) charging.
