IT Home recently reported that multiple platforms have been circulating news about the upcoming release of the Huawei Mate 80 series with a new model named ‘GTS’. According to the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s trademark office records, Huawei has officially registered the HUAWEI MATE 80 GTS trademark. This includes various products and services such as smartphones, tablet computers, smartphone cases, network communication equipment, specialized protective films for smartphone screens, and more.
It is essential to note that whether the Mate 80 GTS model will be officially launched remains uncertain, pending further confirmation from Huawei’s official channels. Apart from the HUAWEI MATE 80 GTS trademark registration, Huawei has also filed trademarks for the series like HUAWEI MATE 100 GTS, HUAWEI MATE 90 GTS, and HUAWEI MATE 70 GTS, despite there being no Mate 70 or 60 series with a corresponding ‘GTS’ model yet.
According to previous reports by IT Home, the Huawei Mate 80 series is anticipated to launch in two primary variants. The standard version will be codenamed ‘Voyager’, and the pro version will carry the name ‘Sagittarius’. Both versions are expected to feature distinct charging configurations: the standard edition will have a 66W wired charger, while the Pro line will incorporate a powerful 100W wired charger. Moreover, the entire series is speculated to adopt advanced 3D facial recognition technology.
