The Huawei MatePad Edge, set to debut on November 25.
Huawei is set to unveil its latest hybrid device, the Huawei MatePad Edge, on November 25. The tablet is designed to merge PC and tablet experiences with a 14.2-inch touchscreen display offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 3120 x 2080 pixels.
The device features a slim body measuring just 6.58 mm thick and weighing 780 grams, allowing it to be used both with and without the keyboard unit. It can be equipped with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage. The MatePad Edge runs on HarmonyOS, which supports a wide range of applications designed for this OS as well as over 13,000 Windows applications through a dedicated software layer.
The device is also equipped with a powerful Kirin 9 series PC processor and includes a 12.800 mAh battery capable of supporting 140W fast charging. It features a 32-megapixel front camera, a rear 50-megapixel wide-angle lens paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
Alongside the MatePad Edge, Huawei will also unveil the foldable phone Huawei Mate X7 and several new Mate series smartphones including the metal-bodied Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design. The Mate X7 is rumored to come with Kirin 9030 processor and 20 GB RAM.
The Mate 80 series phones are expected to feature magnetic accessories and high-speed wireless charging on their rear sides, along with a triple-camera system including periscope telephoto cameras for the Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design. Huawei’s latest slim-line phone, the Mate 70 Air, has been highlighted in terms of its specifications and design.
