According to a leak on Weibo, Huawei’s smartphone sales have seen a significant spike, attributed primarily to the launch of its latest flagship model, the Mate 80 Pro Max. LaoSun shared a pie chart illustrating Huawei’s market share in China across various price segments: the company holds 16.3% at the low end (2000 yuan), 28.7% in the mid-range (between 2000 and 4000 yuan), 26.8% in the upper mid-range (from 4000 to 6000 yuan), 14.7% at the high end (between 6000 and 8000 yuan), and finally, 13.6% above the 8000 yuan mark.

The latest sales surge is expected to be driven by the Mate 80 Pro Max, which will compete in the premium segment of the Chinese smartphone market against other high-end devices. Huawei’s ‘rebranding’ strategy appears to have borne fruit and positively impacted overall sales performance. The company is now seen as a formidable competitor within China’s top-tier smartphone sector.
