HUAWEI, the Health Lab for wearable technology

HUAWEI spends a lot of time and money on R&D for wearable technologies. The largest well opened at Songshan Lake in Dongguan, China. The facility, with a size of 4,680 m², also supports the research and testing of health-related technology and smart wearables.

HUAWEI’s newly opened health laboratory uses the latest technology. It is equipped with 28 high-speed infrared cameras, state-of-the-art optical motion capture systems, and similar technologies that allow it to record a wide variety of objects with millimeter accuracy.

Every work done in the laboratory is tried to be presented to excellent users by researching and examining in detail. There is also a physiology research area equipped with cardiopulmonary function and metabolism meters, heart rate belts and high-performance treadmills to monitor data such as calorie consumption, exercise, heart rate.

This year, 192,500 km of running data was taken and evaluated in the laboratory. There is also a micro-physical examination area that allows them to be used to measure blood pressure and SpO2.
