Global call for digital artists to showcase their work in Huawei's annual GoPaint competition.
November 8, 2025 marked the launch of Huawei’s GoPaint 2025 digital art competition, aiming to celebrate the power of digital creativity and encourage artistic expression around the world. This initiative is part of Huawei’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation through technology.
GoPaint 2025 spans from October 31, 2025, to December 31, 2025, inviting artists and creatives from across the globe to participate. The competition is designed to be inclusive, allowing anyone with an interest in digital art to join, not just Huawei tablet users.
The event offers a platform for participants to showcase their talent through five distinct categories: Bilim Kurgu (Science Fiction), Anlatı Sanatı (Narrative Art), Ezber Bozan (Memory-Triggering), Sulu Boya (Watercolor-style Painting), and Mürekkep ile Animasyon (Ink-based Animation). Each category provides a unique avenue for artists to express their creativity, blending traditional art forms with digital innovation.
Bilim Kurgu: Artists are invited to imagine and create futuristic scenes that blend scientific imagination with artistic expression. This category encourages participants to explore the possibilities of technology in shaping our world.
Anlatı Sanatı: Participants can delve into storytelling through visual narratives, bringing tales to life through digital art techniques. Artists have the freedom to interpret stories from any source, weaving them into a cohesive visual narrative.
Ezber Bozan: This category challenges artists to create pieces that evoke memories and emotions, capturing moments in time with intricate details and thoughtful compositions.
Sulu Boya: Perfect for those who love the fluidity of watercolor painting, this category allows participants to recreate the soft and ethereal qualities of traditional watercolors using digital tools. Artists can experiment with different brushes, colors, and effects to bring their visions to life.
Mürekkep ile Animasyon: For those who prefer dynamic storytelling, this category invites artists to create animated sequences that showcase movement and narrative through the use of ink-based techniques.
The competition’s reward structure is designed to recognize talent at both local and global levels. In Turkey, winners will receive top-of-the-line Huawei devices: HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 for first place in each category, HUAWEI MatePad 12X for second place, and HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 for third place.
At the global level, twenty selected artworks will be awarded a $1000 US Dollar (including taxes) stipend as well as international exposure through various digital art exhibitions worldwide.
The jury panel comprises esteemed judges from diverse backgrounds. Paris School of Design graduate Deka, Huawei’s Art Director Laura Gallon, and Ji Zhengli from the Visual Arts Department at Tsinghua University bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to evaluate submissions.
Winners will have their works featured in global digital art exhibitions, highlighted on Huawei’s app store platform, and showcased through exclusive interviews shared worldwide. These opportunities provide an unparalleled stage for emerging artists to gain international recognition.
