On November 19, 2025, Huawei announced at its HarmonyOS business device technology briefing that the Huawei CloudLink HM740 laptop based on HarmonyOS 6 is set to launch soon. The new laptop features enterprise digital dual-space functionality, enabling users to switch seamlessly between work and personal spaces with a simple gesture of swiping four fingers across the screen.
The HM740 comes equipped with advanced privacy controls such as the Super Privacy Switch and physical isolation capabilities that ensure sensitive data remains secure within the corporate environment. It also includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an RJ45 network interface, USB-C connections, HDMI output, and a combined headphone/microphone jack for versatile connectivity needs.
With a battery life of up to 20 hours for video playback and 14 hours for voice meetings, the laptop offers extended usability. The HarmonyOS enterprise edition supports zero-effort deployment, allowing devices to automatically configure security policies and environment settings upon opening the box.
In May this year, Huawei also introduced its first commercial notebook, the CloudLink HM940, along with launching the CloudLink Star River program. This device runs HarmonyOS 5 and includes features like Super Intelligent Assistant and HarmonyOS interconnectivity.
