IT之家 reports that Huawei has officially launched theWATCH GT 6 41mm smartwatch today. The new device features a Kirin perception system and Sunflower positioning system, priced at $1488.
The WATCH GT 6 comes in two sizes: 41mm and 46mm to cater to various needs. The 41mm version sports a more intricate design with loop-style flexible watch ears and an elegant crown, equipped with a 1.32-inch screen offering up to 14 days of battery life. For the 46mm variant, it has been upgraded with a high-silicon stacked battery that is 65% larger than its predecessor, featuring a 1.47-inch display with peak brightness reaching 3000 nits and providing up to 21 days of endurance.
The new smartwatch integrates the Sunflower positioning system which uses an updated antenna architecture and positioning algorithms for a 20% improvement in accuracy. The device can intelligently calculate simulated power output during cycling without needing a power meter, allowing users to adjust their training intensity accordingly.
Huawei’s WATCH GT 6 also supports Bluetooth connectivity with heart rate monitors, speedometers, power meters, and cadence sensors among other accessories. It broadcasts heart rate data to compatible devices like cyclocomputers.
The smartwatch includes AI-driven health insights that provide a comprehensive overview of fitness levels and training loads, offering professional advice for optimization. Moreover, the high-range IMU sensor enables automatic fall detection, prompting users to seek help if necessary. In emergency situations, it connects via Bluetooth to make calls or notify contacts.
The WATCH GT 6 offers a range of practical functionalities such as mobile payments, weather forecasts, and notifications. The Pro version in the series introduces a Sunflower position system for enhanced navigation accuracy.
