Huawei has unveiled its latest premium wireless earbuds, the FreeBuds Pro 5, designed to rival Apple’s upcoming AirPods Pro 3. The device is set to hit the market with a price tag of $200 and comes packed with innovative features such as lossless audio technology, enhanced noise cancellation capabilities, and advanced drivers.

One of the standout features of the FreeBuds Pro 5 is its ability to be the first earbud in the world to offer dual-unit, dual-channel active noise-cancellation. The earbuds use two acoustic units to generate counter-sound waves effectively reducing ambient noise. In terms of sound performance, it utilizes an ultra-linear dual-magnet circuit structure that can reach as low as 10 Hz, and a fine micro-planar tweeter capable of elevating frequencies up to 48 kHz.

The NearLink Audio technology, supported by the Kirin A3 processor, is another significant feature. This E2.0 short-range wireless audio transmission technology increases physical transfer speed up to 16 Mbps. The earbuds also support dual-band communication across 2.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz, ensuring reliable connectivity even in crowded signal environments like subways or airports.

With the L2HC 5.0 codec, it can deliver lossless audio transmission at a level of 96 kHz/24-bit, achieving speeds up to 4.6 Mbps. The new MIMO AI model for noise cancellation analyzes environmental sounds in real-time and automatically adjusts to optimal noise cancellation levels, improving noise reduction by 220% compared to previous models.

The FreeBuds Pro 5 offers a battery life of up to 6 hours with active noise cancellation on and up to 9 hours with it off; combined with the charging case, this extends the total usage time to 33 hours. The earbuds are also IP67 certified, providing water and dust resistance.

Other features enhancing user experience include smart sound level adjustment, two-way silent calls, advanced recording capabilities, high-speed data transfer through Star-shine connection, AI summarization, and the hands-free speaking mode.

Huawei has introduced its latest high-end wireless earbuds, the FreeBuds Pro 5, as a competitor to Apple’s AirPods Pro 3. Priced at $200, the new model stands out with features like lossless audio technology, enhanced noise cancellation capabilities, and advanced drivers.

The FreeBuds Pro 5 is the first earbud in the world to feature dual-unit, dual-channel active noise cancellation. By using two acoustic units, it generates reverse sound waves effectively reducing ambient noise. The earbuds use an ultra-linear double-magnet circuit that can go as low as 10 Hz, while a fine micromembrane treble driver supports frequencies up to 48 kHz.

The most impressive technical innovation of the FreeBuds Pro 5 is its NearLink Audio support. The E2.0 short-range wireless audio technology enhances physical transmission speeds up to 16 Mbps with the Kirin A3 processor, and it offers dual-band communication on 2.5 GHz – 5.8 GHz bands for stable connections in crowded signal areas such as metro stations or airports. With L2HC5.0 codec, lossless audio transmission at a rate of 96 kHz/24-bit is possible.

The new MIMO AI model detects ambient noise instantaneously and automatically adjusts to the most appropriate cancellation level, enhancing noise reduction by up to 220% compared to previous models. The FreeBuds Pro 5 can last for up to 6 hours with active noise cancellation enabled or up to 9 hours when it’s turned off, totaling 33 hours of use with a charging case.

Additionally, the earbuds are water and dust resistant with an IP67 certification. They also come equipped with intelligent volume adjustment, dual-sided silent calls, advanced recording features, high-speed data transfer Star-shine connection, AI summarization, and an AI free-hands conversation mode to enrich user experience.
