Huawei Unveils Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro with Kirin SoC and Enhanced Satellite Features
Huawei has unveiled its latest flagship devices, the Huawei Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro, in China. The phones are powered by last year's Kirin 9020 for the standard model and this year’s new Kirin 9030 chip for the Pro models. Notably, Huawei claims that both the Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro offer significant performance improvements over their predecessors.
Design-wise, the two devices feature a striking dual-ring back design along with full metal bodies wrapped in nylon back panels available in four finishes: Obsidian Black, Snow White, Dawn Gold, and Spruce Green. Both phones boast a 6.75-inch OLED display that supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz and features 1440Hz PWM dimming.
