Samsung Electronics has entered the multi-fold smartphone market with the unveiling of its latest device, the Galaxy Z TriFold. This innovative phone boasts a full-screen size of up to 10 inches when opened and is priced at KRW3.6 million ($2,444) in South Korea upon release on December 12, 2025.

The Galaxy Z TriFold features two unique hinges that allow the device to fold out twice from a standard smartphone-sized outer screen. This design enables users to engage with content across three virtual screens or view it all at once as one large display for enhanced productivity and entertainment. The vendor asserts that the 10-inch inner screen is akin to using three smartphones side by side, optimizing multitasking abilities.

Additional technical highlights include a slim profile of just 3.9mm in thickness and a substantial battery capacity of 5600mAh. Samsung has also introduced advanced hinge technology for improved durability and a new foldable display that offers increased resilience against wear and tear. The device is equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring superior performance.

Co-CEO TM Roh emphasized the Galaxy Z TriFold’s significance in solving longstanding challenges within mobile design by offering an unprecedented blend of portability, premium features, and productivity. Following its South Korean debut, the phone will be available in markets like China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE before a US release scheduled for Q1 2026.
