IT Home reports that Peking University has recently upgraded its campus card function to support Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5 and above versions. This makes Peking University the first university in China to adapt its NFC campus card feature for HarmonyOS 5 and later versions.

The collaboration between Peking University and Huawei Wallet aims at expanding the reach of this convenient service to more users with Huawei smartphones. The new adaptation allows students and staff to easily activate their mobile campus cards on devices running HarmonyOS 5 or higher.

With the upgraded NFC function, accessing various services such as dormitory entry, classroom access, library book lending, cafeteria dining, and medical consultations in the university’s health center has become more streamlined. Users simply need to bring their phone close to the card reader area without unlocking it for quick recognition and usage.

Steps to activate this feature include:

Open the Peking University App

Search for and click on the ‘Campus Card’ module

Click the ‘NFC’ button

Select the corresponding NFC card based on your brand

Complete the process to receive the card, which will automatically be stored in the Huawei Wallet app’s card wallet
