Sharge continues to blend retro aesthetics with technical innovation in its mobile accessories. Its new power‑bank, the Icemag 3, visually echoes Sony’s compact Cybershot T‑series DSLR line, a similarity that extends beyond form to the device’s stance and functional details.

The Icemag 3 is built from aluminum, giving a premium feel and added durability. A large metal panel on the front recalls old lens‑cover flaps but serves a dual purpose: it folds out into a stand, allowing the unit to function as a desk‑mounted charger as well as a portable power source.

Inside a 10 000 mAh battery delivers up to 25 W of wireless power via the Qi 2.2 standard, fully compatible with MagSafe‑enabled devices. A 35 W USB‑C cable is integrated into the fabric‑shrouded hanging strap, and an additional USB‑C port on the side lets users charge headphones or another device simultaneously. These features make the Icemag 3 a hybrid solution for both mobile lifestyles and fixed office setups.

Compared to earlier models, the Icemag 3 brings significant upgrades. The first‑generation Icemag offered only 7.5 W of wireless charging, the second raised it to 15 W, and neither included a stand or integrated cable. The new version eliminates those shortcomings and relocates the charging port from the bottom to the side, simplifying desk use.

A notable addition is an active cooling fan. Inside a compartment that resembles a glowing eye, a 10 000 rpm fan keeps the compact electronics from overheating—a common issue during prolonged wireless charging. While the fan’s noise may irritate some users, it is deemed essential for maintaining stable performance.

RGB lighting enhances the unit’s visual appeal, especially in desk‑mounted mode, while the hidden USB‑C cable remains unobtrusive. The fan’s quiet operation, the stand’s ergonomic posture, and the side‑mounted ports together create a versatile charging experience.

The Qi 2.2 standard’s speed varies by device: the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 25 W, many other models in the same line are limited to 15 W, and certain iPhone 16 variants have received iOS 26 updates for 25 W support. Despite these variations, the Icemag 3 remains backward‑compatible with older devices.

Sharge will launch the Icemag 3 on its website on 13 November 2025 with a retail price of roughly US$70. By December, the price is expected to rise to about US$80.

Sony has sued Huawei and EUIPO for copyright infringement on the Watch GT smartwatch brand. Sony has renewed its objections to Huawei selling ‘GT’ branded smartwatches. While Huawei has so far launched the Watch GT and GT 2 series, Sony has taken the Chinese company and EUIPO to the European General Court to prevent the release of the Watch GT 3 or future models bearing the GT name.

The dispute actually dates back to 2016, when Sony objected to Huawei’s registration of GT3 and GT5 with EUIPO. In short, Sony believes that ‘GT’, short for Gran Turismo, is its own. While the Gran Turismo series and Watch GT series operate in different markets, Sony may keep its options open for a GT-themed smartwatch in the future. So far, Sony has filed lawsuits against Huawei and EUIPO regarding the terms GT3, GT5, GT8, GT9 and GT10.

Neither Huawei nor Sony commented on the dispute. Huawei responded by registering GT3, GT5, GT8, GT9 and GT10 with the UK IPO. Meanwhile, Huawei’s trademark applications specifically exclude use with ‘computer games software, computer games hardware, video games software, video games hardware’, a possible reference to Gran Turismo and Sony. The UK IPO is still considering Huawei’s applications filed on September 27, 2021.
