New York Times newspaper reported on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump allowed some US companies to supply Chinese technology giant Huawei Technologies Co.
According to sources, the Trump administration will soon license some US companies to supply goods to telecommunications giant Huawei for unrestricted products.
The report said the development could be a step that could reduce tension in trade talks between the two largest economies in the world on Thursday and Friday.
Accordingly, a few US companies will bypass management’s ban on Huawei this year, with Trump giving a green light to licensing approval at a meeting last week.
