Huawei Hongmeng 2.0 ready to use

At the conference in Beijing on December 16, 2020, Huawei announced the Hongmeng 2.0 Beta version and said that the work was accelerating. Unable to use Android after the US ban, Huawei accelerated the development of the Hongmeng operating system, which it had already begun to develop.

“If in the future all Chinese companies are blocked from using the Google ecosystem, Hongmeng Eco could be sold globally and create an ecosystem that replaces Google,” said Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei consumer company. he said.

Recently, Wang Chenglu, head of Huawei’s consumer business software department, said that the Huawei Hongmeng 2.0 system is ready for use. In 2021, the Hongmeng 2.0 system will be installed on 200 million Huawei and Honor devices, and 100 million third-party equipment will be installed. By the end of 2021, more than 400 million devices will use the Hongmeng 2.0 system. In addition, Wang Chenglu’s statement recently; Huawei and Honor models, which support EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0, said it could be the first to upgrade the Hongmeng 2.0 system.

According to officially announced reports, models updated to EMUI11 in the first half of this year will soon be updated to the Hongmeng OS smartphone version. According to the EMUI11.0 release list, the first upgrade group is Huawei Mate40 series, Huawei P40 series, Mate 30 series, nova 7 series, nova 6 series, Mate Xs, Honor V30 series, Honor 30 series, MatePad Pro.

It was also recently reported that Huawei P30 series, Mate 30 series, nova 5 Pro, MatePad 10.8, Honor 20 series, Honor V20 series, Honor Magic2, Huawei tablet M6 series are in the general test phase.

Huawei has launched the EMUI11 open test, including mobile phones and tablets from Huawei and Honor, and announced a second batch of 14 devices. Mate20, Mate20 Pro, Mate20 X, Mate X, Mate20 RS Porsche Design, nova 5 Pro and Huawei Tablet M6 10.8 inch, Huawei Tablet M6 8.4 inch, Huawei Tablet M6 high energy version, Honor devices: Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20, Honor V20, Honor Magic2, the second group of 14 devices currently started general tests.
