Huawei Mate 70 Air Surfaces in Telecom Database, Hints at Upcoming Release

Huawei continues to expand its product lineup, reportedly developing the Mate 70 Air model, designed to stand out with its slim profile. Recent developments indicate the device has passed a significant milestone ahead of its official unveiling.

The Huawei Mate 70 Air, identified by model number SUP-AL90, has been listed in the China Telecom database. This listing confirms the device will launch with 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 GB and 512 GB. The presence in the database strongly suggests an imminent product announcement.

Specifications revealed through the listing include a 6.9-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is expected to be available in gold, black, white, and silver color options. Dimensions have not been disclosed. Unlike many of Huawei’s 5G-enabled phones, which typically feature an “AN00” designation, the Mate 70 Air carries the “ALXX” code, suggesting it may lack 5G connectivity.

Huawei is also preparing to launch the Mate 80 series, anticipated to be announced in November. This series will comprise the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS models. The company’s new foldable phone, the Mate X7, is also slated for release during the same event. A release date for the Huawei Mate 70 Air has not yet been provided.
