The versatile Huawei MatePad Edge in action, demonstrating its unique form factor and advanced features.
The Huawei MatePad Edge has been unveiled with a starting price of approximately $599.90, offering users the flexibility to switch between tablet mode and computer mode with just a swipe gesture on the screen.
In tablet mode, the device delivers a smooth touch and handwriting experience alongside immersive multimedia entertainment. The computer mode, on the other hand, emulates familiar keyboard and mouse interactions, enabling multitasking and running applications like WPS Office, InShot, and ZWCAD to meet professional office needs. Additionally, data synchronization across both modes ensures a seamless user experience.
The MatePad Edge boasts top-tier hardware specifications: a 14.2-inch OLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 94%, featuring a resolution of 3.1K and boasting a peak brightness of 1000 nits along with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Despite its slim profile at just around 6.8mm, it employs an advanced cooling mechanism combining micro-pump liquid cooling film and diamond aluminum heat dissipation to achieve an industry-leading performance release of up to 28W, resulting in overall performance gains of up to 3.8 times.
The device comes with a built-in aluminum alloy stand and can be paired with the new Starflight Floating Keyboard featuring keys with a 1.8mm stroke length and a free touch trackpad, enhancing its functionality when used alongside the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro stylus.
Available in multiple configurations priced from $599.90 to $1299.90, depending on storage capacity and additional features like ambient light edition or liquid cooling version (including keyboard).
