The new charger features a unique fusion port for versatile charging options.
Huawei has introduced a new multi-port charger designed for power users in China. The company’s latest accessory features an innovative fusion port that can accept both Type-A and Type-C cables, alongside a standard Type-C port, allowing simultaneous charging of up to two devices at once.
The 100W GaN charger offers dynamic power distribution based on the connected devices. Huawei claims it can charge its Pura 70 Pro smartphone from zero to 40 percent in just ten minutes when used alone. The charger also supports various fast charging protocols, including SuperCharge, UFCS, PD, and Quick Charge.
In addition to its dual-port capabilities, the charger incorporates gallium nitride (GaN) technology for efficient power delivery and graphite cooling layers to manage heat effectively. It comes with a 1.8-meter braided USB-C cable capable of handling up to 7A currents, making it suitable for charging laptops and tablets as well.
The foldable plug design reduces the charger’s bulk when traveling, while the bundled cable is reportedly more durable than standard cables. Priced at approximately $41 (299 yuan), availability outside China remains uncertain.
