Huawei Technologies is gearing up for the launch of its new flagship smartphone lineup, including the Mate 80 series and a foldable device dubbed the Mate X7. Scheduled to hit the market on November 25, these devices are expected to feature Huawei’s latest Kirin 9030 processor, although exact details such as pricing and technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.
Announced by Huawei in Shenzhen, the company revealed that pre-orders for the Mate 80 series will be open soon. The range includes four models: the basic Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and a high-end variant, the Mate 80 RS.
Industry watchers are particularly interested in whether these new smartphones will indeed run on Huawei’s self-developed Kirin 9030 chip. Speculations have been swirling around this processor as it is believed to offer significant improvements over its predecessor, the Kirin 9020 system-on-a-chip used in earlier models like the Pura 80 series.
With major competitors such as Apple and Xiaomi also launching their respective flagship devices, Huawei’s new offerings are seen as key players in the smartphone market competition. The company has not yet commented on these speculations.
