Huawei has officially announced the launch date for its new flagship smartphone series and high-end foldable model. The highly anticipated Huawei Mate 80 series, along with the foldable device Mate X7, will be unveiled on November 25 in China.
According to a promotional video shared by Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, the first clear look at one of the series’ most striking models has been revealed. It is believed that this model could be the Mate 80 Pro Max, succeeding the Plus variant. The device features a luxurious gold-colored finish and includes Huawei’s signature circular camera module on its back panel.
Additionally, there is speculation about a second circular area underneath the camera module, which might indicate support for MagSafe-like magnetic accessories by Huawei. Both the Mate 80 series and the successor to last year’s Mate X6 foldable model are expected to feature significant design updates and will be powered by the latest Kirin 9030 chipset.
