Maextro to Launch Six New Luxury Models in China

The Maextro S800, the brand's first model, is set to lead a new lineup of luxury vehicles.

Huawei-backed Maextro is set to expand its presence in China’s luxury car market with a lineup of six new models planned for next year. The brand, which was jointly developed by Huawei and JAC Motors under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), debuted this year with the S800 sedan priced at around RMB 1 million.

Industry sources have confirmed that Maextro will introduce both SUV and MPV models in standard and long-wheelbase versions next year. The company aims to target a wide range of consumers, from families seeking comfort to high-end business clients looking for premium experiences. For instance, the regular Maextro MPV is intended for family use, while the extended version targets luxury business customers.

The existing S800 sedan has already seen significant demand since deliveries began in August, accumulating over 18,000 pre-orders within a hundred days. Despite this encouraging start, JAC Motors has restructured to fully support Maextro’s growth by merging its heavy truck teams into the light truck division and suspending its passenger car brand Yiwei.

With these new additions planned for 2026, Maextro aims to establish a robust product portfolio that complements its current offerings in China’s premium market segment. The strategic move represents a significant step towards either elevating the HIMA alliance’s status or dealing with internal brand cannibalization challenges.
