Many are now inquiring about whether banks will observe this holiday on the newly designated date of November 25th. According to information released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), despite the change, no bank holiday has been declared for this day specifically in Uttar Pradesh. As such, banking operations across branches in the state will proceed as usual.

It’s noteworthy that the initial date, November 24th, was planned to be a public holiday annually commemorating Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom. The shift of this observance has affected plans for both employees and students who were expecting two consecutive days off following the Sunday on November 23.

Other notable dates in November 2025 include November 23rd (Sunday) and another potential holiday on November 30th, also a Sunday.
