Huawei has listed Fitify, a popular fitness app, as the first third-party app for wearable devices in AppGallery. An app developer from Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordic regions has released an app for HUAWEI’s wearables for the first time. Fitify became the first wearable app outside of China in the fitness and health category.
We can see that it supports third-party apps for Huawei wearables. Fitify, which also supports many languages, offers a personalized exercise experience on mobile and wearable devices. He combines his physiotherapy and sports science knowledge with artificial intelligence and computer science.
Featuring the largest workout database listed on AppGallery, Fitify (more than 900 exercises and 200 million exercises completed) now helps more than 10 million users fit in more than 170 countries and 18 languages.
Following the launch of the Watch GT 2 Pro in September 2020, HUAWEI wearables were now open to brands and content providers for third-party app development.
Fitify used five integration kits provided by HUAWEI Mobile Services to maximize its listing in AppGallery:
Account Set that provides developers with simple, secure and fast login and authorization.
Push Kit to create a messaging channel from cloud to devices that allows developers to send messages in real time to users’ apps on their devices to create interactivity.
In-App Purchase Kit that facilitates the purchase of virtual products.
Analytics Kit, a rich array of pre-set analysis models to help developers gain a deeper understanding of users, products, and content.
Wear Engine, which creates a rich interactive experience by making it easy to share app features and services between phones and wearables.
The motivation to partner with HUAWEI for Fitify came from the goal of engaging with the rapidly growing global user base and harnessing the potential of HUAWEI wearables. “Releasing Fitify on AppGallery was one of our milestones,” said Martin Mazanec, CEO of Fitify. “We see great potential in reaching an increasing number of HUAWEI users and look forward to more collaboration.”
Commenting on Fitify’s integration into AppGallery, Fitify CTO Matous Skala said: “Integrating SDKs and API has been a great experience and it made things go really fast. “Any problems and questions we encountered along the way were immediately resolved with the HUAWEI support team.”
