On November 24th, 2025, Guangzhou Aion officially announced the launch of its high-speed road testing for the L3 level autonomous driving system on its A800 model. The car has been approved to conduct tests at a speed up to 120 km/h, making it one of the first vehicles in China to receive such permission.
Previously, the A800 was unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show and is equipped with Huawei’s乾崑智驾 HUAWEI ADS 4 as well as the HarmonySpace 5 infotainment system. The car features a unique three-sided rotating headlight design and a panoramic light strip stretching up to 6 meters.
According to information obtained, the A800 offers optional roof-mounted lidar sensors and additional cameras for enhanced safety features. Furthermore, an option includes luxury wheels designed in a ‘pie’ shape which adds to its aesthetic appeal. The vehicle also comes with a 1.5-liter engine coupled with a power output of 118kW from the battery supplied by Jiangsu Zhengli New Energy Battery Technology Co., Ltd.
