US President Trump’s bans have not only affected Huawei. Since processor manufacturers cannot obtain a license for Huawei, they cannot sell to Huawei. Big processor firms are also harming due to US bans. Due to Huawei processor license, Kirin will not produce processors.
He stated that Huawei will be able to use Snapdragon processors in 2021. However, it seems that there will be no production without license permissions.
Qualcomm is in talks with the US government to work with Huawei again. Qualcomm is trying to get permission from government officials to sell processors to Huawei. But the US administration may never allow Qualcomm to sell processors to Huawei.
