HUAWEI partners Sophia EssaAhmed Foundation to provide ICT Center. To assist school students and teachers with communication and technology skills, HUAWEI Technologies Company Nigeria Limited has partnered with the Sophia EssaAhmed Foundation to provide an Information Communication Technology Lab at Kaduna Capital School in Kaduna State.

The ICT Lab has been remodeled and equipped with computers and internet facilities. The governor said that the well-equipped lab will not only help students’ digital knowledge but also help teachers update their digital skills.

The Governor urged the management of the beneficiary school to ensure reasonable use of the renovated laboratory for the advancement of knowledge of both students and teachers. Kaduna State Universal Board of Basic Education (KADSUBEB) Permanent Member, Mubarak Mohammed chairman, who also represents the Board, commended the Foundation and Huawei for their kind gesture, mandating the school management to maintain the facility well. Earlier, the representative of the Foundation, Engr. Abdullahi Tahir Bello said that they encountered a very dilapidated laboratory, which has been completely overhauled and equipped with ICT equipment, including computers and internet facilities.

The laboratory has 20 computers, a backup generator, internet facilities with a one-year data subscription, and a power indicator.
