New patent application from Huawei, “a repair method and repair equipment for glass scratches”

According to the China Intellectual Property Office announced on December 25, 2020, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. patent for “a method and equipment for repairing glass scratches” by the party.

According to Patent Information: Filed on June 20, 2019 and demonstrates the scratch detection and repair process of mobile phone screen glass. Repair equipment first detects whether the glass is scratched or not, if there is a scratch on the windshield, it is cleaned with alcohol, if there is a scratch on the rear glass cover, it is cleaned with ultrasonic cleaner.

After the cleaning process is completed, the patented machine drops the mixture repair liquid consisting of 35% – 45% acrylate, 50% – 60% epoxy resin, 2% – 3% initiator and 2% – 3% additives.

After the repair liquid is dropped, it automatically covers the transparent film and the repair liquid is evenly distributed and covered.

After the repair fluid is evenly distributed, it uses 320 ~ 420nm ultraviolet light to irradiate and form and cure a resin repair layer.

We do not know if Huawei will sell “a method of repairing and repair equipment for glass scratches” or use it at Huawei services.
