Huawei sued Sweden, who wanted to ban Huawei

Huawei has appealed to a Sweden court to uphold the 5G equipment sales ban. According to a Reuters report, Huawei said on Friday that the company is appealing a Sweden court’s June decision upholding Huawei’s ban on the sale of 5G equipment in Sweden.

Huawei stated that it requested an oral hearing on the case, but that the Court of Appeal could decide whether to hold such a hearing or request a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice.

In October last year, the Sweden Post and Telecommunications Administration (PTS) banned Huawei from supplying 5G equipment to the Sweden mobile company. Huawei appealed this decision in court. On June 22 this year, a Swedish court upheld Huawei’s ban on selling 5G equipment in Sweden.
