Some Canadian operator companies do not want to replace Huawei equipment

The Canadian government imposes restrictions on the use of Huawei products and equipment. But some operators are said to have invested $700 million in Huawei equipment. Will the Canadian government pay for the expense of these companies?

Large operators using Huawei products, Huawei equipment for many years were very satisfied with their Huawei equipment. Due to the tension between China and Canada, along with the US sanctions, Canadian companies may face restrictions by the government not to use Huawei technology infrastructure.

Canada announced on September 28, 2021 that it would decide to ban Chinese companies’ products from entering the Canadian communications market. We hope they back out on this decision, because it hurts Canada’s big and small companies alike.

Alykhan Velshi, vice president of Huawei’s Canadian business division, said: “Although Canadian operators have announced various partners in future network building, the truth is that Huawei’s mobile phones are still available in most major Canadian cities and many remote areas in Canada.”

Canadian carriers and Huawei are currently in a conflicting phase, agreeing with each other, but worried that Huawei will not be able to break into Canada’s 5G. Huawei established a large research in Canada and Canadian employees, Huawei advantages in Canada. After being kicked out of Canada, Huawei’s Canadian research and development center will no longer be needed and many Canadian employees will be laid off.
