Wyze launches new battery-powered doorbell alongside solar-powered pan camera

Wyze is launching a new, more affordable battery-powered video doorbell as well as a new tilt and pan camera that just needs an hour of sunlight to keep running. Available starting today, the Wyze Solar Cam Pan is the latest addition to the company’s tilt-and-pan lineup. This new option is similar to the base Cam Pan V3, but with the addition of a built-in solar panel. The panel can be directly mounted alongside the camera itself, or mounted nearby on a wire to get better sun exposure. Wyze says that the high-efficiency ETFE solar panel needs just an hour of sunlight per day for continuous power with a battery inside that keeps the camera running when solar charging isn’t available. Following comments teasing the change from Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, HBO Max has today made a price hike official, with prices going up by around 10% on all plans. HBO Max – formerly Max, and formerly HBO Max before that – was apparently considered “way underpriced” by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. Well, it’s not anymore, as HBO Max has just issued a price hike that makes it one of the most expensive streaming services out there. As of today, HBO Max prices now start at $10.99/month for the ad-supported plan, up from $9.99/month previously.
